Alphamega Stadium incidents post Apollon-APOEL match

Police investigate an incident of an Apollon fan allegedly throwing a water bottle towards APOEL stands after Sunday’s match at Alphamega Stadium.

The bottle launched from Apollon boxes as APOEL fans exited; obscene gestures followed.

No formal complaint

No official report filed; police launched self-initiated probe. They hold related video.

The individual located Sunday, summoned Monday for statement and charges: stadium violence, insult, object throwing.

Prior APOEL fan arrests

Minor incidents erupted outside Alphamega Stadium, post-Apollon-APOEL as APOEL fans departed. Some attacked police with stones.

Police deployed chemicals and “Aiantas” water cannon against guests. Two arrested: 25-year-old for public insult, 23-year-old for police assault.

Both face Limassol District Court Monday for case filing and charges.
