Police made 7 overnight arrests for theft, robbery, and drugs

Cyprus Police continued dynamic, targeted preventive operations last night. They boosted presence in key urban spots to prevent serious crimes, protect citizens, and maintain public order.

Police arrested seven people island-wide.

District arrests

In Limassol, officers arrested two for robbery and theft offences, plus one on an outstanding warrant.

In Larnaca, they detained one for illegal drug possession and another on a warrant.

In Famagusta, police arrested one for assaulting an officer and traffic violations, plus another for illegal drugs.

Checks and traffic enforcement

Crews conducted 39 premises checks to deter and suppress misconduct early.

On roads, they performed over 500 checks, issuing more than 90 traffic fines, including 27 for speeding.

Investigations into traffic offences led to seven vehicle seizures.

These actions form part of Police’s broad, ongoing preventive plan. It features heightened presence, targeted checks, and swift action across all districts to prevent crime and enhance public safety.
