Larnaca flight emergency return, aircraft turns back mid-flight

A serious incident forced a flight bound for Athens to make an emergency return to Larnaca airport, approximately 45 minutes after takeoff.

The aircraft departed Larnaca at 18:03 local time but returned at 18:47 following a problem during flight. A passenger witness contacting SigmaLive reported a strong burning smell inside the cabin, causing significant passenger distress.

The aircraft descended abruptly from 27,000 feet to 10,000 feet before landing safely. Passengers disembarked normally at Larnaca airport.

According to latest updates, all passengers transferred to another aircraft for the journey to Athens.
