British Bases Operation Dasher secures 34 arrests

Date:

British Bases Police ran Operation Dasher over Christmas and New Year to boost safety and community trust during peak times.

The targeted action led to 34 arrests, as stated in an official release. It focused on key priorities like property crimes including thefts, drug offences, serious traffic violations, and youth delinquency.

Visible presence deters crime

Senior Police Superintendent Antonis Demetriou led the operation. He stressed maintaining a visible police presence and decisive action, especially during busy holiday periods.

“Communities must feel safe during peak times like Christmas,” he said. “We take pride in our officers’ professionalism and dedication throughout this operation.”

Ongoing commitment to communities

Operation Dasher used high-visibility patrols and coordinated enforcement campaigns. These measures tackled criminal activity while reassuring residents and acting as a strong deterrent in residential areas. “Our ongoing presence and results clearly show our commitment to protecting communities,” Demetriou added.

The British Bases Police remains dedicated to partnering with other services and the public. This approach aims to enhance community safety and sustain trust year-round.
