Appointing an independent criminal investigator for the leaked video probe does not downgrade Police role, Law Office Communications head Polina Efthivoulou told RIK. Police will receive assistance across required inquiry scope.
Efthivoulou highlighted former Supreme Court Judge Andreas Paschalidis’s experience and legal expertise as substantial aid. “His recognised prestige ensures inquiry credibility and effectiveness, as legal issues may arise anytime,” she noted.
Paschalidis holds wide-ranging terms, empowered to include any relevant matters in investigative work.
