Date:

Argentina held its ground, defeating Peru 1-0 with a goal by Lautaro Martínez assisted by Lionel Messi, ensuring they retain the top spot in FIFA’s final rankings for 2024. The team leads with 1,867.25 points, ahead of France (1,859.79) and European champions Spain (1,853.28).

The French team, following their 3-1 win over Italy, had hoped for an Argentina stumble, which did not occur.
