First baby for 2026 is a girl, born in Limassol

A baby girl became Cyprus’s first newborn of 2026, delivered naturally at a Limassol private hospital. Birth occurred at 2:25am January 1. Russian parents, permanent Cyprus residents, welcomed her after mother’s midnight admission with labor signs.

Mother and baby enjoy perfect health.
