Two vehicles gutted in Larnaca fire

Cyprus Fire Service responded to 46 incidents in the last 24 hours, with 33 fires and 13 special services. Spokesperson Andreas Kettis reported two vehicle fires in different areas. Both caused extensive damage but no injuries.

The first incident occurred yesterday afternoon at 16:21 in Pera Oreinis, Nicosia district.

Fire broke out in a private car parked under a two-story house in a covered area. Flames damaged the engine compartment extensively. The owner initially extinguished it with a hose before firefighters arrived.

Two fire engines from Nicosia stations completed extinguishing, ventilated the area, and checked for hazards. Preliminary cause: mechanical or electrical fault.

Larnaca Kiti double vehicle fire

Early Wednesday at 00:57, two private cars parked in an open area in Kiti, Larnaca province, caught fire. Firefighters in breathing apparatus used hoses to extinguish. Two engines from the Larnaca stations attended.

Vehicles completely destroyed. Cause under investigation by authorities.
