Police are investigating a robbery, serious assault causing grievous bodily harm, housebreaking, and theft in Nicosia province.
An 85-year-old man reported that between 5:00 PM and 6:20 PM yesterday, an unknown person broke into his home in Nicosia province, attacked him, and stole cash.
Victim’s serious injuries
The elderly man was transported by ambulance to Nicosia General Hospital, where he was admitted for treatment.
Medical examination revealed a skull fracture, rib fractures, lacerations to the head, and swelling with hematoma around the eye.
