Road crash in Famagusta – 16-year-old in critical condition

Police announced that a 16-year-old is in critical condition at Nicosia General Hospital following a road collision in Famagusta province on Saturday, 13 of December.

The teen critical road crash occurred around 10:30 PM when a car driven by a 17-year-old, carrying two other passengers aged 17 and 16, veered off course on the Liopetri-Avgorou road heading toward Avgorou.

Vehicle hits electricity pole and field

Under investigation circumstances, the vehicle struck an Electricity Authority pole before coming to rest in an adjacent field.

All three occupants sustained injuries and were transported by ambulance to Famagusta General Hospital.

Two teens discharged after treatment

The two 17-year-olds received first aid and were discharged.

The 16-year-old suffered multiple fractures, and due to his critical condition, required transfer to Nicosia General Hospital where he remains under care.

Xylofagou Police Station continues examinations.
