The US Embassy in Kyiv issued a warning on Wednesday regarding a “potential significant airstrike” and suspended its operations for the day. This follows Russia’s vow to respond to the first use of US-made long-range missiles on its territory.
“The US Embassy in Kyiv has received specific information regarding a potential significant airstrike on 20 November,” the embassy stated on its website. It urged caution and announced the closure of the embassy, instructing its staff to seek shelter.
“The US Embassy advises US citizens to be prepared to go to shelters immediately if an air raid alert is announced,” the statement added.
