Vandalism and theft of Larnaca’s Christmas decorations

The Municipality of Larnaca has expressed “deep sorrow and indignation” over incidents of vandalism involving the city’s Christmas decorations.

In a statement, the Municipality noted that “unknown individuals stole the figure of Santa Claus, which had been installed as part of the festive decorations, while damages were also recorded at various points of the Christmas display. We express deep sorrow and indignation at this act,” the statement read.

The Municipality urged all citizens “to respect public spaces and contribute to the protection of the Christmas decorations so that everyone can enjoy the festive atmosphere.”

At the same time, the Municipality of Larnaca made an appeal to anyone with information about these incidents to contact the police so that those responsible can be identified and justice can be served.
