13-year-old boy hospitalised after second brutal beating

Date:

A 13-year-old pupil was rushed to Paphos General Hospital this morning with a serious head injury after being assaulted for the second time at the same gymnasium in Paphos.

The boy had already been attacked by the same group of students in October, an incident that required treatment at Makarios Children’s Hospital in Nicosia.

Education Minister Athena Michaelidou confirmed the new incident on Sigma’s “Mesimeri kai Kati” programme. She stated that immediate instructions have been issued for a full investigation.

Police and the school authorities are now involved.
