Online live chat launched for welfare and social insurance queries

Date:

A new live chat service is now available on the citizen helpline 1450, giving the public instant online support for all matters concerning:

  • Welfare Benefits Management Service (YDEP) – Deputy Ministry of Social Welfare
  • Social Insurance Services (YKA) – Ministry of Labour and Social Insurance

The service, developed in cooperation with the Deputy Ministry of Research, Innovation and Digital Policy, operates in Greek and English directly through the official websites of both ministries.

Citizens can get real-time answers to general questions about procedures and check the progress of their applications without having to call or visit offices.

The 1450 contact centre (phone + live chat) operates Monday–Friday 08:00–17:00.

Authorities say the new tool reduces waiting times and makes access to information quicker, simpler and more transparent.
