Paralimni sudden death: Autopsy finds no trauma on 49-year-old

Date:

State pathologists Angeliki Papetta and Orthodoxos Orthodoxou performed Friday’s autopsy on the 49-year-old foreign woman found dead in her Paralimni apartment Thursday afternoon. They discovered no visible injuries or fractures.

X-rays confirmed the body showed no hidden wounds or signs of violence. The pathologists took samples for urgent histological and toxicological tests to pinpoint the cause of the woman’s sudden death.

A concerned acquaintance called police after failing to reach her. Firefighters forced the door and discovered her body inside.

Famagusta CID continues interviews with people who knew her. Investigators keep all possibilities open until lab results arrive.
