Additional 132 vehicles vecalled for defective Takata airbags

The Department of Road Transport announced that CIC Automasters and Opel/Vauxhall have recalled 132 additional vehicles due to defective Takata driver airbags. Authorities urge owners to immobilise their vehicles immediately.

These vehicles are in addition to the models recalled on 17 October 2025 and 20 November 2025. The Department has already cancelled the roadworthiness certificates for the affected cars.

The Department calls on all owners to contact CIC Automasters, Opel’s authorised distributor in Cyprus, for further instructions and necessary arrangements.
