Paphos: 30-year-old jumped from balcony to escape Police

A coordinated operation took place yesterday in Paphos with the aim of locating wanted individuals.

At around 10:30 p.m., members of the Police spotted a car parked on a street in Paphos. As soon as the driver noticed the Police officers, he sped off at a tremendous speed in an attempt to escape.

The Police pursued the vehicle, which was eventually immobilised after one of its tyres was damaged. The driver got out of the car and fled on foot. Based on witness testimony, it was established that the suspect is a 30-year-old man who was driving a vehicle that had been immobilised since 2019.

Police officers went to his residence, where the 30-year-old, upon noticing them, attempted to escape from the first-floor balcony and hit his head.

The suspect was arrested and taken to Paphos General Hospital, where he received first aid and was discharged.

Additionally, at around 1 a.m. today, a 32-year-old man was located and arrested, against whom a court warrant was pending in connection with a burglary and theft case committed on 07/11/2025 in Paphos.

Investigations are continuing by the Paphos CID.
