Elections in the occupied side: Erhürman wins majority

Tufan Erhürman of the Republican Turkish Party secured a clear lead in most areas during the elections in the occupied side, while Ersin Tatar achieved his highest result in Trikomo.

According to the so-called “Supreme Electoral Council” (YSK), all 777 ballot boxes have now been counted, with total voter turnout at 64.87%.

Lefka recorded the highest participation at 70.4%, while Kyrenia had the lowest at 63.6%.

Turnout by district:

  • Nicosia: 65.30%
  • Famagusta: 63.85%
  • Kyrenia: 63.60%
  • Morphou: 66.85%
  • Trikomo: 65.65%
  • Lefka: 70.40%

Final results by district:

  • Nicosia (249 ballot boxes): Erhürman 68.88% – Tatar 29.83%
  • Famagusta (191): Erhürman 59.47% – Tatar 38.81%
  • Kyrenia (167): Erhürman 63.04% – Tatar 35.86%
  • Morphou (55): Erhürman 62.15% – Tatar 36.18%
  • Trikomo (86): Erhürman 50.80% – Tatar 47.46%
  • Lefka (29): Erhürman 62.01% – Tatar 36.48%

Based on the unofficial results, Erhürman received 62.76% of the total vote, while Tatar garnered 35.85%.
