Mostly clear skies today- when rain can be expected

A weak high-pressure system is temporarily affecting Cyprus, while a weak low-pressure system is expected to move in from Monday. The weather will remain mostly clear over the coming days, with periods of increased cloud cover and light winds. A slight rise in temperature is expected early next week, while some light dust may also be present in the atmosphere.

Detailed forecast

Today, the weather will be mostly clear, though locally increased cloud cover is expected at times. Winds will initially be light and variable, around 3 Beaufort, later becoming mainly south-westerly to north-westerly, light to moderate, 3 to 4 Beaufort. The sea will be calm to slightly rough. Temperatures will reach around 28°C inland and along the southern and eastern coasts, 26°C in the west and north, and around 19°C in the higher mountains.

Tonight, the weather will remain mostly clear with occasional patches of cloud. Winds will gradually become light and downslope, around 3 Beaufort, and the sea will remain calm to slightly rough. Temperatures will fall to around 14°C inland, 17°C on the coasts, and 8°C in the higher mountains.

On Saturday, the weather will remain mostly clear with some passing clouds.

On Sunday, skies will turn partly cloudy at times, and isolated light showers are possible.

Temperatures will show little change through Sunday, remaining close to seasonal averages, before rising slightly on Monday.
