Greta Thunberg among 171 activists deported from Israel

Israel has announced the deportation of 171 activists from the Gaza flotilla, including Swedish climate campaigner Greta Thunberg, after intercepting the vessels that were attempting to break the blockade of the Palestinian enclave.

“An additional 171 flotilla provocateurs, including Greta Thunberg, were deported today from Israel to Greece and Slovakia,” the Israeli foreign ministry said on X, posting photos of Thunberg and two other activists at Ben Gurion International Airport near Tel Aviv.

Among those deported were citizens of Greece, Italy, France, Ireland, Sweden, Poland, Germany, Bulgaria, Lithuania, Austria, Luxembourg, Finland, Denmark, Slovakia, Switzerland, Norway, the United Kingdom, Serbia and the United States, the ministry added.
