Christos Misos won the gold medal on Saturday at the World Para Archery Championship held in Korea, securing Cyprus a world title.

The Cyprus National Paralympic Committee (CNPC) announced that Misos not only maintained his position at the top of the world rankings but is now also officially world champion.
According to the CNPC, Misos delivered strong performances in the qualifiers, showcasing excellent form. He advanced smoothly to the quarterfinals, before defeating Korea’s national champion in the semifinals. In the final, he overcame his Belgian opponent to claim the gold medal for Cyprus.
The CNPC congratulated Misos, his coach and technical advisor of the committee, Savvas Lakeridis, as well as the Cyprus Archery Federation.

The Cyprus Sports Organization (CSO) also praised Misos in a post on X, stating that “our para-athlete added another major distinction to his impressive collection and, with this gold medal, remains at the top of the world rankings.”
“Congratulations to Christos Misos, his coach Savvas Lakeridis, the Cyprus National Paralympic Committee and the Archery Federation,” the CSO added.
