Limassol highway accident leaves 25-year-old in serious condition

Date:

A 25-year-old woman is in serious condition after being struck by a car on the Paphos–Limassol highway in a Limassol highway accident on Wednesday.

According to Limassol Traffic Police, a car driven by a 25-year-old woman with a same-age passenger crashed into the central concrete barrier and came to a stop in the right lane.

The passenger exited the vehicle to check the damage and, under circumstances still under investigation, was hit by another car driven by a 25-year-old man.

She was taken to Limassol General Hospital, where doctors described her condition as very serious.

Both lanes of traffic were closed for nearly two hours due to the Limassol highway accident. Drivers heading toward Limassol were diverted through the Kanto exit until the road was cleared and traffic resumed as normal.
