Weather forecast: Highs of 37°C inland, possible mountain showers

An seasonal low-pressure system is affecting Cyprus, bringing warm temperatures and localized cloudiness over the next few days.

Tomorrow’s forecast:

  • Inland temperatures will peak around 37°C.
  • Southeastern, eastern, and northern coastal areas will see highs near 33°C.
  • Other coastal areas will reach around 31°C.
  • Higher mountainous regions will be cooler, about 27°C.

Afternoon clouds may develop, especially over the mountains, with a chance of isolated showers or storms.

Winds will be light to moderate, ranging from southwest to northwest at 3 to 4 Beaufort, reaching up to 5 Beaufort locally along the coasts. The sea will be slightly rough.

Tonight:
Mostly clear skies with occasional low cloud patches, mainly over western and northern coasts. Localized thin fog might form later. Temperatures will drop to about 23°C inland, 24°C at the coasts, and 18°C in the mountains. Winds will be light from northwest and occasionally northeast to southeast directions.

Friday and Saturday:
Cloud cover will increase temporarily with possible isolated showers in mountainous areas during the afternoon. Temperatures will gradually decrease slightly.

Sunday:
Predominantly clear and dry weather is expected, with temperatures remaining near seasonal averages.
