The death of 19-year-old Christos Christakis from Aradippou has been attributed to a severe cranio-cerebral injury, according to the official post-mortem examination. Christakis succumbed to his injuries on the afternoon of Saturday, 23 August, while being treated at the American Medical Center in Nicosia.
Police reported that a legally mandated autopsy was carried out today at Nicosia General Hospital. The examination was conducted by Dr Angeliki Papetta, Head of the State Forensic Service, and forensic pathologist Dr Orthodoxos Orthodoxou. Findings confirmed that the death of the teenager resulted from a heavy cranio-cerebral trauma.
It is recalled that Christakis sustained critical injuries at around 11:30 p.m. on Monday, 18 August, while in an open-air car park in the Mackenzie area of Larnaca.
The Larnaca CID is continuing its investigation into the incident.
