Postal services to and from the US have been temporarily suspended by the Cyprus Postal Services Department, in response to regulatory changes being implemented by the United States from 29 August 2025. These changes affect the taxation of incoming parcels containing goods, prompting Cypriot authorities to pause operations until procedures are clarified.
The suspension covers all services, including EMS, parcels, letter post and QuickPost, and will remain in effect until further notice. The department stated this measure is necessary “until the procedures to be followed are clarified, and in cooperation with airline companies”.
Items containing only documents and letters will continue to be accepted, and are not affected by the suspension of postal services to and from the US.
