Murder investigation launched after woman killed in Chloraka

A case of premeditated murder, with the victim being 34-year-old Papakitsa Eirina from Greece, which was committed on Sunday, 17 August 2025, at a residence in Chloraka, is being investigated by Paphos CID, noting that a 53-year-old man has been arrested in connection with the case to facilitate investigations.

A police announcement states that, according to the evidence under examination, at around 17:30 on Sunday, information was received about an injured woman and child at a residence in Chloraka.

Members of the police went to the scene, where they located the 34-year-old woman, who showed no vital signs, as well as a 14-year-old boy who was injured. A 53-year-old man, also injured, was found at the scene.

The 14-year-old and the 53-year-old were taken to Paphos General Hospital, where they received medical treatment.

A judicial arrest warrant was issued against the 53-year-old, and he was arrested to facilitate investigations. He was then transferred to Nicosia General Hospital, where he is hospitalised.
