Seven arrested after large fight in Zakaki, Limassol
A violent incident broke out last night, 7 August 2025, around 9:30pm, when police received a report of a large fight in the Zakaki area of Limassol.
Officers from the Limassol Police Department quickly arrived at the scene, where they found approximately 50 individuals involved in the altercation. Upon seeing the police patrol cars, many of those present attempted to flee the area.
Police managed to arrest seven individuals at the scene for offences committed in flagrante delicto, specifically for fighting and causing public disturbance. It was also noted that two of the arrested individuals were found in possession of wooden bats.
All seven suspects remain in custody and are expected to appear before the Limassol District Court today. Authorities are set to file criminal charges against them for the offences they are alleged to have committed.
