Ruth Keshishian was a rare figure in Cyprus’s cultural landscape, distinguished by her enduring passion for literature, history, art, and the culture of Cyprus and the Eastern Mediterranean. Through the Moufflon Bookshop—founded by her father—and the publishing house Moufflon, she tirelessly served the island’s intellectual life for decades. She offered a welcoming space to all who sought knowledge, dialogue, and cultural exchange.

Her loss leaves an irreplaceable void in the cultural life of Cyprus.

The Deputy Ministry extends its sincere condolences to her loved ones.
