Dolmadakia in space – The Greek short film you need to watch

Date:

To Kalokairi Sto Noto returns with a new video that has already gathered thousands of views across all platforms within just a few hours of being released!

A short film filled with the authenticity, the “kouzoulada” (madness) and the ingenuity of the Cretan grandmothers, who star in yet another unique adventure!

An exciting story that offers plenty of laughter and keeps you in suspense until the very last minute! Grandmothers dressed as Darth Vader from Star Wars — ready for sabotage and destruction, handmade space rockets being launched, secret plans involving the priest’s son who feeds sheep and is also an MIT graduate, a different kind of traditional First Dates in the village square, and the biggest party ever thrown — all come together in a gripping plot full of Crete!

It all began somewhere deep in Crete, where two neighbouring villages had shared the same land for years! Until one became deserted and the other grew into a bustling main village!

Stalida gained a school, services, cafés… The smaller one, Stalitsa, was left with only a handful of residents. They only had one joy left! Their party! The Dolmadakia Festival, when for just one day, the streets came alive!

Everything was going smoothly until the main village, Stalida, made a huge mistake!

They scheduled a big celebration on the same day as Stalitsa’s! This wasn’t just a coincidence. It was a challenge! The vendetta had begun!

Within a few days, the village’s old olive mill was turned into a command centre. Plans, maps, mechanisms, and one secret mission! To launch their dolmadakia into space, attracting global interest in their festival!

This new adventure is once again written and directed by Giorgos Balothiaris and Gogo Verigou, on the occasion of the 22nd season of the legendary Pan-Cretan radio show To Kalokairi Sto Noto, which they present!

Another viral video filled with everything we’ve loved over the years, essentially declaring the official start of August holidays!
