A Lefkada SUP incident is unfolding as Coast Guard teams search southwest of the island for two people who were swept away by waves while stand‑up paddleboarding.
According to initial reports, the two individuals sent an SOS via the “112” emergency line, prompting an immediate search by Coast Guard officers.
Rescue operations are underway in challenging conditions, with winds of up to 5 Beaufort in the southwest Lefkada area complicating efforts to locate them.
