In light of the unprecedented disaster that struck the mountainous communities of the Limassol District, the Electricity Authority of Cyprus (EAC) first and foremost expresses its deepest sorrow for the loss of human life.
The Organisation stands by those affected, offering its full support, and announces the following relief measures:
- Electricity bill subsidy up to €500 for all residential and commercial customers of the EAC whose premises, connected to the EAC network, have been affected. No action is required by customers; EAC will subsidise the most recently issued bill with an amount up to €500. The only requirement is that beneficiaries must be listed in the registry of affected individuals compiled by the relevant Local Authority.
- No electricity disconnection until the end of September 2025 All electricity disconnection actions will be suspended for all EAC customers in the affected areas, including those with outstanding arrears, until 30 September 2025. During this period, no disconnection notices will be issued and no disconnection measures will be taken due to unpaid bills.
For any clarifications, affected individuals can contact the EAC Customer Service Centre at +357 99399254 or by email at [email protected].
EAC remains on the ground with all its available resources, and technical crews are working intensively to restore the damage as quickly as possible. We thank the public for their understanding, cooperation, and trust.
