Eratosthenes & Skytrek join forces for space innovation

The Eratosthenes Centre of Excellence of the Cyprus University of Technology and Skytrek Ltd have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to enhance collaboration in space entrepreneurship, innovation, and professional training.

According to the Centre’s announcement, the agreement lays the groundwork for joint development and implementation of initiatives aimed at supporting the emerging space economy in Cyprus, as well as in the broader Eastern Mediterranean, Middle East, and North Africa (EMMENA) region.

The MoU outlines cooperation in professional training programmes related to the space sector, mentoring activities, workshops and competitions, investor outreach actions, and strategic advisory support.

It was signed by Professor Diofantos Hadjimitsis, CEO of the Eratosthenes Centre of Excellence, and Don Koulaouzos, Managing Director of Skytrek Ltd., marking the beginning of a partnership that bridges research excellence with market-driven innovation.

The agreement will remain in effect for five years, with the possibility of renewal, and will be implemented through jointly funded actions and strategic cooperation, the announcement concluded.
