Fire destroys luxury cars in Ayia Fyla blaze

Date:

A dramatic scene unfolded in Ayia Fyla on Thursday night as a series of explosions led to a major fire, destroying several luxury vehicles and prompting the evacuation of a residential building.

According to the police, the incident began when a fire broke out in one vehicle parked in the complex’s basement area. The flames quickly spread, engulfing four more cars, all of which were completely destroyed. Two additional vehicles sustained partial damage.

Due to the intensity of the blaze, residents were evacuated from the building for safety. Fortunately, no injuries were reported. However, the fire caused extensive damage to both the vehicles and parts of the apartment complex. Photographs from the scene show scorched walls, broken windows, and smoke-blackened interiors.

Firefighting units responded swiftly, containing the blaze before it could spread further. By morning, investigations had begun, with both the fire service and police working to determine the cause of the fire and whether foul play is suspected.

The Ayia Fyla fire has raised concerns among residents about building safety and emergency preparedness in densely populated urban areas.
