Teen arrested over Paphos attempted murder case

A 16-year-old boy has been arrested in connection with the Paphos attempted murder case that unfolded on 16 June. Police say the teen is facing serious charges, including conspiracy to commit a felony, attempted murder, grievous bodily harm, and rioting.

The incident occurred in the Dasoudi area of Paphos, where police received reports of a violent altercation involving several individuals armed with bats, knives, and wooden planks.

Officers from the Paphos District Unit were immediately dispatched to the scene, where they found five injured men aged 20, 22, 26, and 35. All five had visible wounds and were transported by ambulance to Paphos General Hospital.

Three of the victims were treated and discharged shortly after, while the other two were hospitalised. Their condition is described as stable and not life-threatening.

Following an initial investigation, police obtained court warrants for the arrest of three additional suspects, aged 22, 30, and 33. All three are currently wanted in connection with the same case.

The offences being investigated include:

  1. Conspiracy to commit a felony
  2. Attempted murder
  3. Acts intended to cause grievous bodily harm
  4. Carrying a knife
  5. Additional related offences

Authorities have not released further details about the motive or relationship between the individuals involved.

The Paphos attempted murder case remains under active investigation, and police continue to search for the remaining suspects.
