Emotional farewell to ‘King of Clay’ Rafael Nadal at Roland Garros

On a poignant afternoon in Paris, Roland Garros paid tribute to Rafael Nadal, the 14-time French Open champion, in an emotional ceremony marking his farewell to the tournament that defined his illustrious career. Held on Court Philippe-Chatrier, the event celebrated Nadal’s unparalleled achievements on the clay courts of Paris, where he amassed a record 112-4 match record.

The ceremony featured heartfelt speeches, a commemorative video montage, and the unveiling of a plaque bearing Nadal’s footprint, symbolising his enduring legacy at Roland Garros. In attendance were fellow tennis legends Roger Federer, Novak Djokovic, and Andy Murray, who joined Nadal on court to honour their longtime rival and friend.
