The 2nd CyFood B2B Forum was held on 7 November 2024 at the Radisson Blu Hotel in Larnaca. The event was organised by the Larnaca Chamber of Commerce and Industry (LCCI) and the Larnaca Tourism Board (ETAP Larnaca), with support from the associations PASYXE, STEK, and PASIKA. The Minister of Agriculture, Rural Development and Environment, Dr Maria Panayiotou, gave an opening address at the event.

During the forum, participants had the opportunity to engage in pre-arranged business meetings and attend presentations on European tools supporting SMEs, with a focus on agri-food. Additionally, proposals were presented for food waste management, and Protected Geographical Indication (PGI) products, such as “makaronia tis smilas” (traditional Cypriot pasta) and “tertzielouthkia” (small local pastries), were showcased.

Renowned chef Tonia Buxton attended the event, further promoting Cypriot cuisine internationally. The success of the 2nd CyFood B2B Forum confirms the importance of cooperation among the involved parties in promoting Cypriot products and supporting the local economy.

The CyFood B2B Forum is an annual event aimed at strengthening collaboration between producers and processors of Cypriot products and professionals in the tourism and food sectors. This initiative promotes the incorporation of authentic Cypriot flavours into visitors’ gastronomic experiences, contributing to the qualitative enhancement of Cyprus’s tourism offering.
