Two arrested over Limassol murder of 45-year-old man

A post-mortem examination has confirmed that Yiannos Argyrou, the 45-year-old man found dead in a Limassol apartment garage, was stabbed 19 times.

The autopsy was carried out by Chief Forensic Pathologist Angeliki Papetta and Orthodoxos Orthodoxou. According to the findings, Argyrou died of haemorrhagic shock, caused by multiple ruptures to major blood vessels and vital organs- the result of a sharp, cutting instrument.

The case has already led to the arrest of a 52-year-old man and a 47-year-old woman, who remain in custody under an eight-day detention order issued earlier this week by the Limassol District Court. The suspects are being investigated for premeditated murder, conspiracy, and possession and use of Class A drugs, including cocaine.
