38-Year-Old attacks police officers with a shovel in Limassol

An incident occurred in the early hours of Thursday, when a 38-year-old man attacked police officers with a metal shovel, injuring one of them.

At around 1:00 a.m., the operator of a mobile speed camera vehicle informed authorities that he was being obstructed by an unknown driver during routine checks. Police officers rushed to the scene, locating a 38-year-old man inside his vehicle.

According to the Police, the suspect exited his vehicle upon noticing the officers, shouting insults and holding a metal shovel. He then proceeded to attack the officers, injuring one of them in the legs.

The 38-year-old was immediately arrested for the offence, and has been taken into custody.
