He had been hospitalised in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) of a private hospital, where he was intubated due to a severe health deterioration. Approximately two weeks ago, he was admitted with a high fever, and his condition worsened, leading to his intubation in the early hours of Sunday, February 23.
Born on January 23, 1951, in Petroupoli, Attica, Kougias had a distinguished career in law, representing clients in numerous high-profile cases. His passing marks the end of an era in Greek legal circles.
