President Christodoulides stands with the Swedish people

The President of the Republic, Nikos Christodoulides, expressed his solidarity with the Swedish people, following a shooting at an education centre in Sweden on Tuesday.

On a post on X, President Christodoulides noted that he is “devastated by the tragic events in Örebro”, the town where the incident took place.

He added that senseless, violent acts such as this, have no place in our societies and schools must remain sanctuaries of safety and learning.

The President said that his thoughts are with the victims and their families, as we stand in solidarity with the Swedish people.
