600 tons of humanitarian aid from Cyprus ready for Gaza

A Cypriot Ministry of Foreign Affairs official stated that 600 tons of non-perishable food and essential supplies are stored at the ports of Limassol and Larnaca, ready to be shipped to the Israeli port of Ashdod, with the final destination being the Gaza Strip.

The official, who spoke to the Washington Post on the condition of anonymity, mentioned that the aid can be transported quickly via a chartered vessel, given the short distance between Cyprus and Israel.

Sea corridor established for aid delivery

It is worth noting that through the sea corridor established last year, approximately 22,000 tons of humanitarian aid have already been shipped from Cyprus to Gaza. This ongoing effort is part of a broader initiative to provide crucial supplies to those affected by the conflict.
