Road dispute turns violent
A 56-year-old man is set to appear in court after allegedly stabbing a 68-year-old during a road altercation in Limassol. The incident occurred on Saturday afternoon, following a verbal dispute between the 68-year-old and a 22-year-old female driver.
Attack and medical treatment
Police reported that the 56-year-old, a passenger in the 22-year-old’s vehicle, allegedly exited the car and stabbed the 68-year-old, causing an abdominal laceration. The victim received first aid and was treated at a Limassol hospital before being discharged.
Arrests and ongoing investigation
The female driver was arrested on Sunday under a court warrant, charged, and released pending a court summons. The 56-year-old passenger was also arrested and remains in custody as police continue investigations. He will appear before the court for a detention order related to stabbing and causing injury offences.
The Limassol CID is continuing its inquiries into the case.
