44-year-old arrested over burglaries and thefts 16 years later

A 44-year-old man was arrested at Larnaca Airport last night and taken into custody in connection with five cases of burglary and theft currently under investigation.

The 44-year-old, who was wanted under a European Arrest Warrant, was located in a European country and handed over to the Cypriot authorities yesterday.

He is being investigated in connection with five burglaries and thefts committed between 2010 and 2013.

The suspect is expected to appear before Limassol District Court this morning, where police will request a remand order.

Limassol CID is continuing its investigation.
