37-year-old remains in ICU after being struck by vehicle in Paphos

A 37-year-old woman is being treated in the Intensive Care Unit following a road accident that occurred on Monday in Paphos, with doctors describing her condition as serious.

The woman was transferred by ambulance to Paphos General Hospital, where doctors diagnosed a skull fracture and a shoulder fracture.

Collision under investigation

The road accident took place around 1:20pm on Soteraki Markidi Street in Paphos, when a 77-year-old driver struck the pedestrian under circumstances that remain under investigation.

Police said the driver was travelling along the road when the collision occurred.

Ongoing police inquiries

Due to the severity of her injuries, the woman was admitted directly to the Intensive Care Unit.

Traffic Police in Paphos continue investigations to determine the exact causes of the Paphos road accident.

Authorities have not yet clarified the circumstances leading to the collision.
