The 52nd International EDTNA/ERCA Conference concluded recently in Greece, with 756 delegates from 49 countries, including 34 Cypriot nurses who are members of the Cyprus Nephrology Nurses Association (TONONE/PASYNM).
In a statement, TONONE/PASYNM noted that Cypriot nurse delegates participated in the conference, attending workshops, with nine serving as presenters on topics in both Greek and English. Their contributions included e-posters, workshop organisation, and active involvement in the conference’s planning and activities.
As part of the collaboration between TONONE/PASYNM and EDTNA/ERCA, members of the committee engaged in discussions and meetings on topics related to nephrology nursing practice, clinical applications, and educational advancements.
The conference also hosted Cyprus’s first national networking event, where all Cypriot nurses attending the conference were honoured. Brand Ambassador for EDTNA/ERCA in Cyprus, Despo Theodoru, coordinated the event. Among those recognised were Chrystalla Despoti, Cyprus’s first nephrology nurse to affiliate with EDTNA/ERCA, and Dr. Evangelos Lantzorakis for his substantial contributions to the nephrology nursing specialty programme in Cyprus.
