25-year-old caught burglarizing Limassol home

Date:

A 25-year-old man was arrested on the spot for burglary offenses in Limassol after police found him unlawfully inside a residence. The arrest followed a report received by the Limassol Traffic Police Department around 5:45 PM yesterday about an ongoing Limassol burglary at the property.

Earlier that morning, the homeowner had reported a previous break-in at the same residence, which occurred between December 8 and 15. During that incident, a television was stolen.

Suspect found with stolen goods

Officers from the Limassol Police Department rushed to the scene and located the 25-year-old inside the home. Examinations at the site confirmed the break-in had taken place.

Police seized a backpack in the suspect’s possession containing a laptop computer, three chargers, a powerbank, bundles of keys, two flashlights, and two screwdrivers. Further checks revealed the laptop had been stolen from a doctor’s office in Limassol during a burglary reported to the Limassol Traffic Police Department on Friday, December 12.

Court warrant leads to detention

A court arrest warrant was issued against the 25-year-old, under which he was taken into custody for further investigation into the burglaries and thefts. The Limassol Traffic Police Department continues its examinations.
