24 irregular migrants arrested in Cyprus – three repatriated

In a coordinated nationwide operation carried out on Sunday by the Aliens and Immigration Service (YAM), police arrested 24 individuals found to be residing illegally in the Republic of Cyprus.

According to a police statement, three of the detainees have already been repatriated to their countries of origin. The remaining individuals have been placed in detention, and repatriation procedures are underway.

“The police continue to focus efforts on maximising the number of repatriations of third-country nationals, in coordination with other relevant authorities,” the announcement concluded.
