23-year-old hospitalised after stabbing in Limassol

Authorities in Limassol were placed on alert on Wednesday night following a stabbing incident in the area of Zakaki.

At around 11:15 p.m., a 23-year-old man and a 24-year-old companion were walking in the area when several individuals in a vehicle reportedly approached and attacked the 23-year-old with knives.

The 24-year-old managed to flee the scene during the assault.

The victim was taken to Limassol General Hospital with lacerations to the arm, body, and head. He received medical treatment and remains hospitalised. His condition is reported as stable and not life-threatening.

The Limassol CID is investigating the incident.
