208 new Cyprus Police officers sworn in

Today, 208 new police officers took an oath of allegiance and respect for the Constitution of the Republic of Cyprus.

The swearing-in ceremony took place in the morning at the Cyprus Police Academy, in the presence of Mr. Themistos Arnaouti, Chief of Police, and Mr. Andreas Angelides, First Police Superintendent and Director of the Academy.

Following their oath, the new recruits will undergo a six-week preliminary training programme at the Police Academy and the Emergency Response Unit (MMAD). After completing this phase, they will be assigned to various Departments, Units, and Divisions within the police force to meet operational needs. Subsequently, they will return to the Police Academy for the main phase of their training.
