20-year-old arrested for kiosk robbery in Larnaca

Police in Larnaca have arrested a 20-year-old man in connection with a robbery that occurred last night at a kiosk in the Livadia area. The suspect is currently in custody as investigations continue.

Details of the robbery

Around 7:05 pm, the suspect entered the kiosk with his face covered by a scarf. He approached the cash register, pushed the 71-year-old owner, and demanded money.

The man stole €20 before fleeing the scene on foot.

Police investigation and arrest

Officers from the Oroklini Police Station, Larnaca CID (TAE), and the Larnaca Crime Prevention Unit (OPE) attended the scene to conduct examinations. Based on witness testimony collected during the investigation, a court-issued arrest warrant was issued for the 20-year-old suspect.

He was located and arrested at around 1:30 am by TAE Larnaca officers and placed in custody.

Ongoing investigation

The Oroklini Police Station continues to examine the case as part of the ongoing investigation into the Larnaca kiosk robbery.
